Gambia Water & School
Our water projects are being developed in the most needy communities in Asia & Africa – with hand pumps, wells and community bore holes in the most famine regions including in Bangladesh, Pakistan, Morocco, The Gambia, Senegal & in the Philippines.
Save lives today
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: “The best charity is giving water to drink” and he was the most generous in giving charity. (as narrated in Ahmad) Access to clean water is a human right and we are working hard to ensure that greater water equality is achieved across the areas Al-Ajar Foundation work in. Your donations will save lives and regenerate whole communities for generations to come ensuring there are no more days where the poor and needy go without clean drinking water– so please give generously.
How it affects communities
In large parts of the world unpredictable weather patterns lead to severe drought. Drought has a domino effect – first, there is no water to drink and second, crops fail. With no food, families begin to starve and there is no surplus to sell for a small income. Without an income, families cannot fulfil their most basic needs or buy essential equipment for other income-generating activities to lift themselves out of poverty

Or you can add any amount from £10 to the general Water for Life donation pot & each time we reach the amount for a bore hole or a water well. We will start construction. Personalised Plaques can be placed on the Wells upon request from the donor. And the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “When a person dies, all his good deeds come to an end except three: ongoing charity, or beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who will pray for him.”
