The Hospital of Hope
This project started in 2017 on the back of our charity challenge to trek Mount Toubkal.
It is now entirely youth led by our brilliant students from the Saturday School (Halifax)
Al-Ajar Charity are working with a humble abandoned babies hospital called ‘The Hospital of Hope’. We help to provide for babies that have been left at the hospital by parents who are unable to look after the child as they are diagnosed with a complex disability, in some cases this is because they are unable to afford the costs of raising a child.
This is the saddening truth about children who are in these less fortunate parts of the world. We have been a promising donor to this hospital for a while and we are looking to expand it and enlarge its capacity.
Babies who are likely to never get to know their parents and will never have the same opportunity in life due to the complex disabilities that they face will rely on the donations from generous communities.
The youth group raise a target amount of donations to provide basic necessities and educational materials, along with other needs.
We have pledged to donate a number of specialised beds for the disabled children and the cost price for these beds are £200 per bed as they are tailored for each baby.We also cover any costs of gifts that are given to the abandoned babies i.e. sensory toys, diapers, baby milk and clothes.
